Demand for high-quality early education and care has never been higher in this country. Early education does more for children's chances of success in school and in life than at any other time in their development (according to a 2010 McKinsey report on education reform).

With an exclusive, time-tested Balanced Learning® approach, Primrose Schools® is ideally positioned to address this growing need for premier, innovative early education and child care nationwide. Perhaps that's why Franchise Owners are so successful at nurturing happiness.

We've been at the head of the class
for 38 years.

Back in 1982, Paul and Marcy Erwin opened the first Primrose School in Marietta, Georgia and pioneered the Balanced Learning approach that would revolutionize the concept of child care by making early education a key part of their business model.

In 1990 the Erwins took the lead again by franchising their model to provide hands-on leadership and a proven delivery model for their schools. They recruited Jo Kirchner to help them launch and grow their franchise brand. A working mom, Jo recognized that Primrose was just the kind of high-quality, nurturing, early education and child care that she was never able to find for her own children. And so, the seed was planted "in the mind of a businesswoman and the heart of a mother." With the vision of delivering a trusted, premier early learning experience for children across America, Jo set about establishing a brand with an exclusive, research-informed Balanced Learning® Curriculum continually strengthened by top early education experts that has proven to be one of the defining reasons many parents choose Primrose. Today Primrose continues to lead the way with more than 350 schools in 29 states, while earning top rankings for student outcomes and satisfaction among Franchise Owners, staff, local communities and families.

Some rewards can't be measured in numbers.

Monday through Friday business hours means more family time and weekends off. Franchise Owners find that they have more control over their schedules and a happy balance in their lives.

By bringing the best to your community, you're helping children benefit for years to come. Primrose Franchise Owners are natural leaders in their community whose passion makes a real difference for students, parents and local outreach.

Invest in children's futures - and your family's, too. The $48 billion dollar child care industry will continue to grow as the economy continues to recover, unemployment decreases and more parents re-enter the workforce.*

You don’t have to be an educator. We’ll teach you what you need to know.

Primrose Franchise Owners come from all different backgrounds: finance, tech, real estate, healthcare and sales to name a few. The characteristics they all have in common are strong relationship-building skills, a desire to do meaningful work and a passion for our family-focused brand.

As a testament to the excellence of our brand, more than 70% of our Franchise Owners are former Primrose parents, know a child who attended or actually worked in one of our schools.

We know a lot about growth opportunities.

The Primrose Schools mission is to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children. Our vision is to deliver the best and most trusted early education and care for children and families across America. We currently have more than 350 schools in 29 states and are on target to reach our goal of 500 schools by 2020.
