Is your job inspiring and rewarding? Do you dream of being a business owner who can have a positive impact on your local community? If you’re looking for a more meaningful career, early childhood education and care could be the answer. Primrose Franchise Owners have significant opportunities to serve children and families in their community, all while growing a thriving and satisfying business.
Our Franchise Owners often say starting a Primrose school was the most fulfilling career decision they’ve ever made. Here are just a few of the benefits of opening a school:
Influencing and Developing Growing Minds
Primrose Franchise Owners wake up every day with a purpose – to lay the foundation for happy, healthy lives. For Franchise Owners, this career path feels less like a job and more like a calling. For them, nothing is more rewarding than preparing children for lifelong success as they nurture the next generation to become future leaders.
“At the end of the day, at the end of the week, at the end of the month, we're having a greater impact on children and families,” says Sheldon Connell, who has been a Primrose Franchise Owner with his wife, Shelley, since 2015.
The early years of a child’s development are crucial to their later success, and Primrose aims to help them develop the skills they need while their minds are still curious and growing. That’s why each of our schools offers the Primrose-exclusive Balanced Learning® approach, which incorporates the best early childhood education wisdom to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. Plus, parents gain extra peace of mind knowing their children are receiving a high-quality education from a brand they love and local Franchise Owners they trust.
Flexibility and Work-Life Balance
In the world of entrepreneurship, there’s rarely a dull moment. Depending on what type of business you own, there could be late nights and unexpected extra work days. But at Primrose, we believe in finding that ideal balance – one that enables all Franchise Owners to dedicate time to the children and families they serve while nurturing relationships with their own children and families outside the classroom.
A few years ago, Jarrad and Olivia Vaughn knew they wanted to be entrepreneurs, but weren’t sure what type of business to start. They considered a restaurant, but they knew that the demands of the industry would result in less time with their young son. But, after seeing firsthand the positive impact of a Primrose education, the choice became clear. The Vaughns opened a Primrose school in 2015 and never looked back. It turned out to be the business venture they were looking for.
“We just have so much more flexibility and control over our lives,” says Olivia.
“I'm able to coach my son’s baseball team,” adds Jarrad. “These are times that I wouldn’t have gotten to enjoy otherwise.”
Primrose schools are in session five days per week, which means Franchise Owners can structure their evenings and weekends as they choose. This helps provide balance, stability and predictability to foster relationships, passions and interests beyond the business.
A Helping Hand Along the Way
Starting a business doesn’t have to be daunting. At Primrose, we offer experienced guidance to all our Franchise Owners at every step of their journey. Our dedicated School Development Team and our entire National Support Center assist with everything from training to site selection to establishing daily operations.
“Primrose is extremely supportive,” says Adela Taboada, who has been a Franchise Owner with her husband, Victor, since 2008. “After you sign the papers, it doesn’t end there. If we have a question, they’re there. They really hold your hand through the whole process, not just during, but after.”
Primrose is different from other franchising brands. Our philosophy is not to let Franchise Owners “figure it out,” but instead to provide useful, helpful services that enable your business to thrive. Primrose provides more than just a trusted brand name. Our National Support Center staff trains Franchise Owners on how to deliver service excellence and build relationships with the families in their schools and their local communities. Franchise Owners walk away with the Primrose-exclusive Balanced Learning approach and the confidence they need to manage their own business. This helps take the stress off the Franchise Owners, so they can instead focus on providing the best early childhood care and education possible.
